Thought of the Day: Prepay Your Big (non-monthly) Bills!
This may sound like a strange idea, at first, but it really is a simple way to avoid finding yourself behind the big bill 8 ball.
How do you do this? Take some time to figure out what those big bills costing you- holiday expenses, birthday gifts, property taxes. You know the ones I am talking about.. they are not static, you don't pay them every month- but they always find a way to sneak up on you when you are least prepared. Take the total amount of anticipated spending, and divide it by the number of paychecks you receive. Deposit that amount of money into a high interest savings account, and have that money available to pay the bills before you even make your purchases.
